Wow! I can't believe Nationals is over. I had a blast! I didn't fell as much pressure or nerves as I did last year. I just went out there, surfed, and had agood time. All the girls were surfing really well. Each heat was challenging. The final dayof Nationals was exciting. The day started off with the Open Women's semi final in the morning. The waves were really fun! In the morning the winds were off-shore and glassy. Perfect lefts and rights were peeling down the beach. In the semis I got to surf out at Lowers with only two other people, Coco Ho and Amy Nicholl. I was so amped! Midway through the heat Coco caught this beautiful right, killed it and ended up scoring a 9.5 on it! It was so sick. Probably my favorite wave out of the whole contest. I had a hard time catching waves in this heat. With three minutes to go I was losing. I got into this crazy paddle battle with Amy. I was so scared because we collided and I wasn't sure how they would call the interferance. Luckily it turned out okay and I advanced. I surfed the Explorer Girls Final after that. I did alright but I didn't catch the waves that I need to, to perform. Alyssa Quizon and Malia Manuel blew up! It was a close one between them.

The Explorer Women Final was a little bit better. I was sort of angry from the Explorer Girls Final that I was hungry to catch some waves. I was a little nervous as well so I kind of bogged on a few of my turns. The Open Women's Final was my favorite heat of the day. Th final was thirty five minutes long and I got to surf with only three other girls. How cool is that? Sage Erickson, Coco Ho, and Alana Blanchard were in the final. I was ready to have a good time. I really wanted to go out there and put on a good show. During the final I just tried to zone out all my thoughts and focus on having fun. I got lucky and caught a couple of really good rides! I was stoked!

Today is the day of the banquet. This morning I went to mass with my grandma at the church up on th hill. Itwas a beautiful mass, I really enjoyed it! After mass I went over to the Miller's house to hang out. Kalani, Oleema, Hana and myself all went shopping together at the San Jose mall. I bought slippers for the banquet. They are really cute. We
ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. It was absolutely delicious! When we finished I returned home and took a nap. I sort of had a hard time napping though because I am really excited for the banquet this evening. Oleema and Kalani did my hair and make up. They did it really pretty and simple. I am wearing a dress and I am so excited. I had such a fabulous time hanging with the Miller girls today. They are like my older sisters. Thanks for everything, I love you lots!
