This weekend was pretty interesting! On Sunday early in the morning at around 7:15 am, an earthquake of 6.5 magnitude hit the Hawaiian islands. The origin of the quake was just of the Kona Coast, on the Big Island. There was no real severe damage, the only thing that did happen was that there was a power outage on all of islands for the whole day. It was kind of cool. My family and I played at the park, ate dinner in candle light, read books, and played some board games. It was a lot of fun! I actually think that the loss of electricity was good for the community. I saw a lot more people walking around and playing at parks. I also talked to some of my friends and they said that they got to spend a lot more time with their family and friends. It was a quite an interesting experience. Well our power finally came on again about mid-day Monday. Well it is back to reality!
