This weekend I competed in the Roxy Pro Trials at Sunset Beach on the north shore. The contest started off with two trial heats. The top three in each heat advanced to the trial final. Leila and Coco surfed in the trials as well. They both surfed awesome! We all made our dad’s catty for us. It was fun! I got third in the first heat and advanced to the trial final with Stephanie Gilmore, Melanie Bartels, Bethany Hamilton, Larina Mcgraf, and Almida Tias.

The trials final was really difficult. I ended up getting third to Melanie Bartels and Stephanie Gilmore and did not make it to the main event. Even though I didn’t make it my family and I stuck around for a while and watched the contest. The contest was finished a few days later. The two trial finalists Melanie and Stephanie finished first and second in the event. Congratulations Melanie you did awesome!
