This weekend I did not do much of anything. I just hung out and did homework, homework, and more homework! YEAH!!! Other than that the surf has been pretty small and windy on the south shore. The Oneil Pro for the guys has not finished yet but will probably run in the next few days. I am excited! Good luck everyone!!

One more thing, I thought I'd give you a little update on my trash contest. I wanted to share a few email from my number one trash picker upper, Hannah, from California, who picked up a bag of trash at least 6 times over the past few months!

(September 9) Hi Carissa, my name is Hannah. When I picked up trash at Del Mar I found lots of different kinds of trash. Like bits of Styrofoam, fishing lures, bags, and cigarette butts. I had lots of fun picking up trash, except when I picked up a bag of dog poop, yuck! I love to surf, it takes lots of practice I can tell you that! Do you love surfing as much as I do?

(September 25) Hey Carissa, it's me, Hannah Erbe Smith. I was picking up some icky trash, but no poop this time. Now every time I go surfing I'll pick up some trash. I'm also in that contest that your holding, and I'm also wanting like some other litter-hater to keep our beaches a better place. I picked up trash in the neighborhood where the surfers park because there was a drain that would have swept the trash into the ocean. That's why I was picking up trash up there.

(October 12) Hello, it's Hannah and Sunday morning I went surfing at La Jolla shores and the waves were beautiful and good for a fun day of surf. After surfing I went to pick up some more trash. Since Del Mar was probably still clean from my last pick up. So I went off near my dad's work next to a stream that led to the ocean. I found lots of trash there.

(October 25) Hey Carissa, it's Hannah. Thank you very much for the Roxy T-shirts. I really like them! I'm wearing one now. A week ago I picked up more trash at Miramar Lake Reservoir in San Diego CA. There was so much trash, I even found a big seat cushion floating around!

(December 3) Hey Carissa, it's Hannah. Today I picked up trash at Torrey Pines Beach SD,CA. It was the first time I surfed Torrey Pines, I had lots of fun but brrr was cold! The waves were very pretty there but I couldn't stay long. And thanks again for those wonderful Roxy T - shirts, I love them a lot. Merry Christmas, Aloha!

(December 8) Hey Carissa this is the the last Hannah thing you'll get for now since your trash contest will end soon. But each time I go to the beach I'll still pick up a bit of trash. I went to Miramar Lake to pick up my last batch of trash. When I knelt down to get a piece of styrophone I saw a bull frog. I went to pick up the trash to see if it would move. It hopped into the water after I got the piece of nasty old trash.

Anyway, Hannah's 8 YEARS OLD! So, if she can do it, so can you! Hannah, I'll be sending you another prize soon! Aloha, Carissa
