CARISSA'S CYST SURGERY: On Thursday morning my dad and I drove to Queen's Hospital for my foot operation. We arrived at the Same Day surgery place at around 5:30 am, checked in at the front desk, signed some papers, and received a number. They gave me the number 7. After waiting for around 15 minutes they called my number and we entered the white doors to the waiting room. They assigned me a room. After I put on my gown, booties, and hair net my dad, mom, and I watched SpongeBob on the television. Then a nurse came to put an IV in my arm. She couldn't find a vain so she kept flicking my arm. Finally she found a vain and stuck a HUGE needle in my arm. I felt tired and it wasn't even time for me to go to sleep. We watched a little more TV and then the anesthesia doctor walked in. He gave me this medicine that would make me feel more comfortable when I went into the operation room. He put it in my IV and it felt so cold that I started laughing. I couldn't stop laughing. I said goodbye to my parents and I was off.

The operation room was yellow and all the doctors were dressed in blue outfits. They strapped me down to a table. The last thing that I remember was a doctor saying, "your going to sleep now." Then everything went dark. The next thing I know I wake up like nothing had happened. I had an oxygen mask on my mouth, and a boot on my foot. OMG! I tried to get up but I felt really dizzy. My mom came in and said hello. Then my dad came. After the medication wore off I got in a wheel chair and visited my grandpa upstairs. He is doing much better now but is still in the hospital.

I have been on crutches the past few days but now I am finally walking. The doctor says I can't surf for three weeks but I am going to get in the water by Friday because I can't take it anymore. I am so bored! I miss the water. I was so jealous because yesterday everyone in my family got to go surfing except for me. I had to sit on the wall at Kewalos and videotape everyone having a blast. Complete and total torture. I thought I did a pretty good job videotaping at least but Cayla thought otherwise.

Well that has pretty much been my week! Sorry this journal entry was so long I am just very bored! Can't wait to get back in the water! Happy New Year!
